School Breakfast

GO PLACES WITH SCHOOL BREAKFAST… Just like a car, plane, or train, your child needs fuel to make their daily journey. The “Go Places” theme explores the wide world of travel and stresses the importance of a good breakfast as an important part in allowing kids to reach their full potential. Eating a nutritious breakfast can help prevent obesity in children. Meals served as part of the School Breakfast Program are required to meet Federal nutrition guidelines. In addition, research has shown that children who eat breakfast at school: Achieve higher scores on standardized test; Make fewer trips to the nurse’s and principal’s offices; Get better grades overall. We invite you to find out how eating a nutritious breakfast can really help you to “Go Places.” Visit www.schoolnutrition.org/nsbw for more National School Breakfast information.
