The following classes are being offered through the Virtual Virginia Beach e-Learning program. Students interested in taking an online class during the 2009-2010 school year should contact their guidance counselor.
- Online courses require different skills and learning styles from traditional, face-to-face courses. For instance, students in an online course are responsible for scheduling their own "class time." Motivation and self-discipline are essential for success in an online course.
- Students and parents should note that all programs are dependent on sufficient enrollment and the availability of qualified and appropriately endorsed instructional staff. The school will make the FINAL decision as to whether or not the student should take the online course. Online classes must be taken for credit: NO Audits.
All online courses address the same content as their traditional face-to-face versions but are delivered over the Internet through a learning management system. The table below indicates the anticipated offerings and eligibility for each course.
