Linkhorn Park's Math and Science Academy is awesome. I wanted to be in the Math and Science Academy because I love science. I also knew that the teachers were great. I knew them because my cousin attended the Academy. My favorite parts of the Academy are my friends; experiments like the one we did in fourth grade about the effect of different color lights on plant growth; field trips like when we went to Washington, D.C.; and last, but not least, the teachers. In math, we are studying how to use and analyze data. In science, we are studying oceans and the human impact on ocean species. In social studies and language arts, we are studying Colonial Williamsburg, grammar, and spelling. I think the Math and Science Academy experience will help me in middle school because we conduct more experiments and independent research. I love the Math and Science Academy.
