Middle School Program (Grades 6-8)

The Parent/Student Course Information Documents included on this page outline the expectations for all core and elective/exploratory courses offered in Virginia Beach City Public Schools' 14 Middle School schools - housing students in grades 6, 7, and 8. These documents are used to communicate information about the curriculum to be taught in a particular course. Typically, Middle School school students take six courses per year. The academic core includes English, mathematics, science, social studies, and health and physical education. For your convenience, the Secondary School Curriculum Guide is available to assist students in grades 6, 7, and 8 and their parents with the selection of courses in the Middle School school level.
