
Adapted physical education is provided for students certified by a doctor
as being unable to participate in the regular program.
HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION 6 (PE 7110)
Health and Physical Education 6 focuses on the development of basic
skills for use in individual and team sports as well as the improvement
of physical fitness levels. Health topics include environmental health, nutrition, substance abuse, disease, first aid emergencies, fitness, wellness, and Family Life.
HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION 7 (PE 7120)
Health and Physical Education 7 focuses on the development of team and individual skills and improving students' levels of physical fitness. Individual activities include conditioning, tennis, badminton, weight training, and track and field. Topics include nutrition, personal health and fitness, substance abuse, consumer health, accident prevention, body systems, and Family Life.
HEALTH AND PHYSICAL EDUCATION 8 (PE 7200 - Year Course) (PE 7201 - Semester Course)
Health and Physical Education 8 is an elective class that may be taken as a semester or year course. Health and Physical Education 8 focuses on participation in activities including tennis, soccer, volleyball, basketball, speedball, golf, softball, field hockey, weight training, track and field, traverse wall rock climbing, and dance. Health topics include health-risk factors, athletic injuries, hygiene, disease, and substance abuse.
