The Parent/Student Course Information Documents included on this page outline the expectations for all core and elective courses offered in Virginia Beach City Public Schools' 11 high schools and a number of secondary/post-secondary specialty centers, including the Renaissance Academy, Advanced Technology Center, Technical and Career Education Center - serving students in grades 9-12.
In each high school, two programs of study are offered: Standard and Advanced Studies. For the advanced studies program, students must earn additional credits and must also take higher levels of science, mathematics, and foreign languages.
