
AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE I (FL 5990)
One Credit, One year, Grades 9-12
American Sign Language I requires no prerequisite. Students begin the sequential development of the communicative skills for American Sign Language (ASL). They use the language in relevant and purposeful contexts to exchange information, interpret the language on a variety of topics, and make presentations to diverse audiences. In addition, culture is an integral part of meaningful language use.
AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE II (FL 5991)
One Credit, One year, Grades 10-12
Prerequisite: American Sign Language I
Students continue the sequential development of the communicative skills for American Sign Language (ASL). They use the language in relevant and purposeful contexts to exchange information, interpret the language on a variety of topics, and make presentations to diverse audiences. In addition, culture is an integral part of meaningful language use.
AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE III (FL 5992)
One Credit, One year, Grades 11-12
Prerequisite: American Sign Language II
Students continue to develop their competency using the communicative skills for American Sign Language (ASL). They use the language in relevant and purposeful contexts to exchange information, interpret the language on a variety of topics, and make presentations to diverse audiences. In addition, culture is an integral part of meaningful language use.
NOTE: Currently offered at Ocean Lakes High School.
