Please note: Virginia Beach Middle School League Semester Rule
For all first-time, incoming 6th graders: The student shall not have been enrolled in middle school for a period of more than six consecutive semesters, beginning with the semester in which he/she was enrolled for the first time in the sixth grade. The six consecutive semesters shall be counted continuously from that point, regardless of whether or not he/she remains continuously enrolled.
For all 8th graders, 7th graders and repeating 6th graders: The student may not participate in the same activity more than three (3) seasons while enrolled in grades six, seven, and eight. This rule also applies to transfer students.
Example: The student may not participate in baseball more than three (3) seasons in any school division while enrolled in grades six, seven, and eight.
