Debra-Ann F. Raiford - Finalist Fifth Grade Kingston Elementary School 11 years of service to VBCPS I teach because it is my passion. I thrive on creating on atmosphere for my students that will stimulate their creativity and induce learning. Fifteen years ago, after a near-fatal car accident, I was no longer able to continue my operatic vocal career. I turned to teaching, where I have a different stage now, the classroom, but the rehearsals and performances earn more self-satisfaction than I have ever experienced in my life.
