Rebecca A. Gurley
2004 Teacher of the Year "I believe
that an outstanding teacher helps students to discover their unique
talents and abilities and recognize possibilities for the future. An
outstanding
teacher also teaches students to evaluate themselves and to continuously
strive
to improve in order to accomplish goals. An outstanding teacher creates
a warm
and welcoming environment that makes it a pleasure to enter the classroom.
Lastly, an outstanding teacher creates the desire for discovery and life-long
learning."
