The 2006-2007 school year was the first year the assessment was available and of the students who took the post-test, 752 passed. The results provided the division an overall baseline pass rate of 56 percent. The City of Virginia Beach Department of Economic Development and the Virginia Beach City Public Schools' Office of Technical and Career Education issued certificates of recognition to the 752 students who passed the assessment.' It is anticipated that more than 2,000 Virginia Beach TCE students will take the Virginia's 13 Workplace Readiness Skills post-test assessment in school year
2007-2008.
