Since September 2008, the school division has diverted 4,531 tons from the waste stream. This is equivalent to saving:
- 77,023 trees
- 1,721,772 gallons of oil
- 13,593 cubic yards of landfill space
- 18 million kilowatts of energy (enough to power 2,265 homes for one year)
- 31,716,860 gallons of water
